During the development of the GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500, a great deal of attention was paid to the best possible resistance to attacks with electric angle grinders, because this kind of attempt to crack bike locks is seen more and more often in large cities. Our special material mix of tungsten carbide around the shackle and housing is the answer to this phenomenon and makes life extra hard for thieves. The shackle, housing and load-bearing parts of the locking mechanism are made of hardened steel. This extremely robust U-lock of "Made in Germany" quality secures bikes against brute theft attempts. The ABUS XPlus™ cylinder offers extra protection against ingenious break-in methods such as picking. The USH 2500 lock holder is easy to attach to the bike: plastic-coated metal straps and optional screw holes provide flexibility. To stop the lock rattling while you ride, it is firmly secured in the USH 2500 by both ends of the shackle.
