Fatbike thieves are losing the battle because of Phatfour Connected
Since the beginning of 2024, we have introduced Phatfour Connected. A year later, we can proudly say that Phatfour bikes are safer than ever. Our data for Amsterdam up to November 2024 shows that only 10% of our Phatfour bikes (equipped with a GPS tracker) have been stolen. This is in stark contrast to what was previously reported in an article by the NOS from August 2023, which stated that 90% of fat bikes in Amsterdam were stolen. These figures show that it is no longer attractive to steal a Phatfour.
Smart technology makes Phatfour theft impossible
Phatfour fat bikes are safer than ever thanks to the innovative anti-theft service Phatfour Connected. The unique thing about this service is that the bike can be switched off remotely as soon as the bike has been reported stolen. Even if the tracker is removed, the e-bike remains unusable due to the switched off support. This makes receiving stolen goods unattractive for thieves.
With Phatfour Connected, your bike can always be located via a handy app. The built-in tracker provides the exact location, while the largest Dutch security company G4S actively helps to recover stolen bikes.
Safe from theft
What also distinguishes a Phatfour bike is the registration and linking of the parts with which the bike is built. In this way, a bike can be identified in several ways, in addition to the frame number. A composite bike can also be traced back to the rightful owner and even the receiving of stolen parts is made clear. This means that the police can always find out who the rightful owner is. As a result, a stolen Phatfour, or part of it, immediately becomes 'contaminated merchandise'.
